Nandankanan Zoo officials thrashed inside office; two arrested

Bhubaneswar (30/04/2024): The officials of Nandankanan Zoological Park on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar were allegedly thrashed by two miscreants inside the office of the zoo on Monday. The miscreants entered the office and attacked Assistant Zoologist Dr Rajesh Mohapatra, ACF Dr Sudipta Kumar Panda and Dr Rashmi Ranjan Swain. The duo vandalised computer, laptop, printer, TV and furniture.

The wrongdoers also damaged the laptop and mobile phone of the audit officer. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the office The reason behind the attack is yet to be known. Later, the accused were arrested by Nandankanan police late last night.
