Bhubaneswar(16/03/2025): Odisha is experiencing a severe heatwave, with temperatures soaring above 42°C in several areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for the next 24 hours in several districts, including Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Angul, Sundargarh, Boudh, Sonapur, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Dhenkanal, and Ganjam.
Boudh district has become the hottest district in India, with temperatures remaining above 40°C for the last two days.
The heatwave has also led to forest fires in various areas.
