Student found dead in hostel room of private residential college

Keonjhar (22/04/2025): A student was found dead late on Monday night in the hostel of Gayatri Residential College, a private institution in Keonjhar town. The deceased has been identified as Jalandhara Mahanta, son of Jagabandhu Mahanta of Tangarpada village under Patna police limits.Jaladhara was staying in the hostel while pursuing a summer course at the college. According to reports, Jaladhara had dinner with his friends as usual around 10 PM and went to bed.Around 1 AM, his hostel mates tried to wake him up. After getting no response, the college authorities were informed.They rushed him to the district headquarters hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
