Bhubaneswar(23/05/2025): Odisha is likely to experience heavy rainfall starting May 27 due to a potential low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal.

South Odisha may be significantly affected, with the low-pressure system likely to intensify within 2 days. According to Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre Director Manorama Mohanty, the low-pressure area may facilitate the onset of the southwest monsoon in the state. No significant changes in weather has been predicted for the next 5 days, with Kalbaishakhi rainfall expected to continue gradually across the state. With the anticipated rainfall, temperatures may drop slightly.
