
PM Modi leads International Yoga Day celebrations, says combating obesity is need of the hour
Bhubaneswar (21/06/2025): People from all walks of life across India came together to mark the International Yoga Day 2025, taking part in Yoga sessions held at iconic locations nationwide. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the celebrations at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.The Prime Minister said, "Yoga has united the world.Yoga guides us along the paths of peace.Combating obesity is need of the hour.We need to reduce 10 percent oil consumption in our diets." The event witnessed the participation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who joined the Yoga session. President Droupadi Murmu joined thousands of citizens across the country in performing Yoga at Dehradun in Uttarakhand. Similarly, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Shiv Sena leaders Shrikant Shinde and Shaina NC performed Yoga at Marine Drive in Mumbai.
