Brown sugar worth Rs 21 lakh seized in Balasore

Soro(11/09/2025): Excise officials seized a huge quantity of brown sugar near Markona railway station in Balasore district on Thursday. Two individuals, including a woman, were caught in possession of the brown sugar. Acting on a tip-off from a reliable source, Excise Department officials conducted the raid. The estimated value of the seized brown sugar is reported to be more than Rs 21 lakh.
