ICSI organises Teachers Conference on Empowering Educators

Bhubaneswar (15/09/2025): Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Eastern India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India organised a Teachers Conference for College/University Teachers on the theme, Empowering Educators, for Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary School Teachers. Special Guest of the occasion, Prof.Sadasiba Mohapatra, Honorary Professor, IGNOU, thanked the ICSI Bhubaneswar Chapter for the initiative and for inviting teachers from across the state of Odisha.
While addressing the gathering, Prof.Mohapatra highlighted the vital role that teachers play at every stage of a student's development and stressed upon their contribution in Nation Building. Guest of Honour, Dr.A.K.Mishra, Principal, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3, Bhubaneswar, stated that a teacher should identify the skills of the students and guide accordingly.
He appreciated the ICSI Bhubaneswar Chapter for this unique attempt of strengthening the bond between ICSI and the schools, colleges and academic institutions. CS Vijaya Batth, Associate Professor, School of Commerce, XIM University, CS Tanmay Kumar Sahu, Company Secretary, Subarna Rekha Port addressed the educators on Companies Act and Skills of a Teacher. CS Soumya Sujit Mishra, former Chairman, EIRC of the ICSI and Ex-Officio Member of the Chapter highlighted the role of a Company Secretary. CS Sasmita Panda, Chairperson of the Bhubaneswar Chapter, thanked all the teachers and proposed conducting a session on Career as a Company Secretary, for the students of class 11 and 12 of their schools.
She also thanked the CBSE Regional Office and Kendriya Vidyalaya Regional Office Bhubaneswar for extending support to the Chapter for making this event a grand success. CS Srimanta Baboo, Vice Chairman, CS Nilakantha Samal, Secretary, and CS Priyadarshi Nayak, former Chairman, EIRC and other office bearers were also present on the occasion. The conference was attended and well appreciated by faculties, teachers and educators from various Senior Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges and institutions across Odisha such as Keonjhar, Balasore, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Khordha, etc.
