Dr. Narayan Mohapatra felicitated with Nadashree Samman

Bhubaneswar(19/09/2025): Eminent social activist Dr.Narayan Mohapatra was felicitated with the prestigious Nadashree Samman by Nadashree and Niladri Spiritual Trust for his remarkable contribution towards preserving Jagannath culture during a discussion on the place of Geeta Govinda in Jagannath culture. During the event held at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Rabinarayan Mohapatra, Minati Sahu, Karunakar Jena, Radhaballabh Singh, and Snehalata Mohapatra were also felicitated. Dedicated to the famous poet Jayadev, the programme featured as chief guests Jagannath culture researchers Dr.Bhaskar Mishra, Dr.Guru Prasad Mohapatra, Deba Prasad Dash, Professor Prasanna Kumar Swain, Padmashree Shyama Mani Devi, President Shashanka Shekhar Raut, Secretary Shatarupa Pati, Sarbeswar Baitharu, Mrutyunjaya Panda and others, who discussed various aspects of Geeta Govinda. These distinguished guests are well established in various fields of society. During the programme, Dr.Dhiraj Mahapatra, Dr.

Sarbeswar Baitharu, Abha Shatarupa, Lipsa Mishra, Dr.Niladri Kalyan Das, Sushree Bijayini, and Shashanka Shekhar Sahu, among others, presented devotional songs from Geeta Govinda. These Geeta Govinda renditions were of very high standard, and the audience enthusiastically applauded the artists.
