A joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, the company is setting new benchmarks by blending technology with consumer-first initiatives.

From drone-based line inspections to SCADA-driven monitoring, TPSODL has embraced advanced systems that bring accuracy and efficiency into daily operations. Drone technology enables engineers to monitor hard-to-reach stretches of the network without delays, while SCADA systems in all six circles — through the PSCC and APSCC — provide real-time visibility of faults and enable faster restoration of power.

The company has also mapped its network through GIS, giving teams a clearer picture of infrastructure spread across eight southern districts. Commercial services have undergone a quiet transformation as well.

On-the-spot bill revision, AI-driven meter reading, and digitalized complaint tracking have introduced greater transparency and accountability. Consumers can now reach TPSODL with ease — whether through multilingual call centres, customer relation centres, digital apps, or even a simple missed call to the NPS (No Power Supply) service number.

An AI chatbot further simplifies interactions, answering queries instantly and reducing the need for physical visits. Electricity services are no longer confined to offices in southern Odisha.

New 33kV and 11kV lines are strengthening the backbone of the power network, supporting both household electrification and industrial expansion.
