Bali Yatra to be held on both upper and lower grounds: CM

Cuttack(01/10/2025): Odisha Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday assured that this year’s historic Bali Yatra in Cuttack will be organized by giving utmost importance to tradition and heritage. Responding to queries about the arrangements, the Chief Minister said that the festival will take place on both the upper and lower grounds of the city.

He further mentioned that traditional product stalls will be set up on the upper ground to highlight Odisha’s rich cultural legacy. “The final decision on arrangements will be taken after discussions with the district administration,” the CM added. The Baliyatra, which commemorates Odisha’s ancient maritime trade links, attracts lakhs of visitors every year and is considered one of the state’s biggest cultural festivals.
