Three killed, one critical as bikes ram into stationary truck

Malkangiri (05/10/2025): At least three people died and one sustained critical injuries after two bikes rammed into a stationary truck on NH 326 near Katameta in Malkangiri district late Saturday night. Following the accident, angry locals staged a road blockade demanding compensation for family of the deceased.

The road blockade was lifted lifted after the police and administrative officials assured the agitators of looking into their demand. The truck was parked on the roadside after breaking down on the highway due to a mechanical failure.

Two speeding motorcycles approached from behind and rammed into the parked vehicle.
