Elaborate security arrangements put in place for Kartika Brata

Puri(06/10/2025): The holy month-long Kartika Brata will begin from October 7. Special arrangements have been made for the safety of Habishyalis observing the Kartika Brata and for their smooth darshan at the Shree Jagannath Temple. Separate barricades have been installed near the Singhadwara (Lion’s Gate) for crowd management. To ensure security, 22 platoons of police force, 4 ASPs, 15 DSPs, 15 Inspectors, 65 Sub-Inspectors, and 100 constables will be deployed. Accommodation arrangements have been made for around 2,500 Habishyalis (women devotees observing the Kartik vow).
