
Story 'Devotee King Indradyumna and Lord Jagannath' released during Shree Jagannath Kathamruta programme
Bhubaneswar (09/10/2025): The story “Devotee King Indradyumna and Lord Jagannath” was released during the Shree Jagannath Kathamruta programme organized by the Maa Gajalaxmi Puja Committee, Pahala on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The Maa Gajalaxmi Puja Committee and the Jagannath Sanskruti organization jointly organized a spiritual event featuring Shree Jagannath Sahasra Nama (a thousand names of Lord Jagannath), ancient devotional songs, and a divine discourse (Kathamruta) by the renowned speaker from Puri, Shree Sachidananda Das Maharaj. On this occasion, adhering to the details mentioned in the Skanda Purana, a short story titled “Bhakta Raja Indradyumna and Shree Jagannath” was released on YouTube.The story aims to make the teachings of Skanda Purana—the sacred text about Lord Jagannath—more accessible to the public.It has been presented as a brief narrative dedicated to the divine feet of Lord Jagannath. The story highlights how the temple and the idols of the Lord were created and consecrated.Organizers expressed strong belief that the presentation will bring joy and inspiration to everyone. During the programme, Sachidananda Das Maharaj also shared several fascinating stories and insights about Lord Jagannath.The event began with the chanting of Shree Jagannath stuti and sacred mantras. The event was graced by Chiranjibi Parida, President Bikash Swain, Pinaki Das, Anantakeshari Parida, Dr.Narayan Mohapatra, Suresh Mishra, Trilochan Nayak, Bansidhar Nayak, and Bhagaban Das, with support from the Jagannath Parivar Trust. After the rendition of traditional devotional songs by Bharati Bhushan Pattnayak, Laxman Rao, and others, the Kathamruta session was held. The programme was well managed by Sarat Mahapatra, Bijaya Panda, Srinibas Rao, Tanmay Jena, Hrushikesh Swain, Shubham Parida, Smruti Ranjan Mala, Papuni Mallik, Sadhansu Sahu, and Sandeep Mishra, among others.
