Similipal National Park reopens

Baripada (18/10/2025): The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district reopened on Saturday. A total of 35 vehicles from Jashipur and 25 from Baripada will be allowed entry each day.

Tourists can enjoy a five-hour safari through Talabandh, Jamuani, and Gudugudia routes. For night stay, tourists can make advance bookings through the Ecotourism website. The park was closed from June 30 due to rainy season.

The National Park generally opens on November 1 every year, but it was opened on October 18 this year keeping in view the festive season.
