RPF seizes Rs 2 crore from passengers on Tata–LAP Express at Titilagarh

Balangir (18/10/2025): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Saturday seized Rs 2 crore in cash from two passengers travelling on the Tata–LAP Express at Titilagarh railway junction in Balangir district. The two individuals had reportedly boarded the train at Kesinga railway station carrying a black suitcase containing the money.

During interrogation, they failed to give a satisfactory explanation for the source of the cash. The seizure has sparked suspicion that the amount may have been meant for illegal activities related to the Nuapada by-election.
