
Kranti organises inspiring and informative awareness program on breast cancer
Brahmapur (18/10/2025): On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and International Girl Child Week in October, Kranti, a leading voluntary organization in Brahma Nagar in Ganjam district, in collaboration with ISRD - One Stop Center Ganjam, Government ITI organised an inspiring and informative awareness program on breast cancer at Government ITI Auditorium.Nowadays, breast cancer has become a headache.In some cases, timely diagnosis and proper treatment make it possible to cure this disease.By being aware, this disease can be defeated.Increase awareness about breast cancer prevention and treatment The main objective of the program was to empower individuals, especially women, with important knowledge.The awareness program was organized under the chairmanship of Dr.Debananda Dash, Executive Director of Kranti and a cancer survivor.Before the program started, Dr.Dash welcomed everyone and introduced the guests.ISRD Director Sudhir Sabat welcomed the guests by offering "Upadhokan" and bouquets.First, ITI principal Er.Ranjan Kumar Parida gave a brief information on breast cancer and advised the students to be aware of themselves and make others aware.One of the guests in this breast cancer awareness program, Dr.Subhra Pala, Assistant Professor, Department of Gynecology, MKCG Medical College and Hospital, spoke on "Breastfeeding and the Risks of Cancer".By breastfeeding The risk of breast cancer is significantly reduced.Early menopause, infertility, late pregnancy, obesity, and eating fatty foods are the causes of breast cancer.Therefore, if this disease is detected early and treated properly, the patient can be cured, explained Dr.Pal.
