Youth found dead at Cuttack de-addiction Centre

Cuttack(21/10/2025): A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a de-addiction centre in Uttamapur under Sadar police limits of Cuttack district on Tuesday.

According to sources, the deceased, a resident of the Khordha area, had been admitted to the centre nearly two months ago for treatment. Reports suggest that the youth may have been strangled to death, as a towel was reportedly found wrapped around his neck.

However, police said the exact cause of death can be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination. Following the incident, police reached the spot and launched an investigation.

Four persons were detained for questioning in connection with the incident .
