Supplementary exams introduced for Class 5 and Class 8 students
Bhubaneswar (23/10/2025): The Odisha government has decided to introduce supplementary examinations for students of Class 5 and Class 8. As per the new guidelines issued by the School and Mass Education Department, students who fail in the annual examinations will be given another opportunity to appear for supplementary tests, similar to the matriculation system.Each examination will carry a total of 50 marks. The question papers will be printed at the district level and delivered to schools on the day of the examination.To ensure smooth conduct, a three-tier committee has been formed to oversee and monitor the entire process. The move aims to strengthen the evaluation system and ensure that students receive adequate opportunities to improve their performance.
