Naveen takes jibe at BJP, says they are name changers
Nuapada(03/11/2025): Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik addressed a public meeting at Tarbod under Komna block in Nuapada district as part of the party’s by-election campaign. Speaking in support of BJD candidate Snehangini Chhuria, Naveen highlighted the various developmental works carried out in Nuapada during the BJD government’s tenure. He said, “It was during our government that Nuapada became part of Odisha’s development journey.The Biju Expressway was built, irrigation facilities were extended to 10,000 hectares of farmland, check dams were constructed, and safe drinking water was provided to the people.” Addressing the crowd, he asked, “Tell me, are you getting 300 units of electricity? Are our farmers receiving urea fertilizer on time? Have the problems in paddy procurement been resolved?” He also mentioned that Mission Shakti women have not been paid their honorarium for the past eight months, and further questioned, “Which scheme do you think is better — the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana or Ayushman Bharat?” Taking a jibe at the BJP, Naveen remarked, “They are not game changers.They are name changers.” Concluding his speech, the BJD chief questioned the crowd, “Tell me, which is better — the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana or Ayushman Bharat?” .
