
PM Modi launches multiple development projects in Odisha's Jharsuguda, including mater plans for upgrading MKCG Medical College
Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday PM Modi laid foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth Rs 60,000 crore in Odisha's Jharsuguda, including mater plans for upgrading MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, VIMSAR in Sambalpur into a super-speciality hospital and expansion of eight ITIs. The Prime flagged off the Amrit Bharat Express between Berhampur and Udhna (Surat), providing affordable and comfortable connectivity across states, supporting tourism, creating employment opportunities, and linking major economic districts. The PM announced the launch of BSNL's indigenous 4G technology, marking a major step for the telecom sector of India.PM Modi sanctioned orders to 50,000 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana.The scheme provides pucca houses and financial assistance to vulnerable rural families, including persons with disabilities, widows. Addressing a huge gathering at the Yuva Samabesh held at Amlipali Ground, PM Modi started his speech by conveying "Juhar" to the people present while seeking the blessings from Goddesses Ramchandi and Samalei. He said, "Under the GST 2.0 reforms, taxes on tractors and various agricultural equipment have been significantly slashed.Previously, farmers paid Rs 70,000 as tax on a tractor, now they save Rs 40,000.The reforms also help farmers save Rs 15,000 on wheat, planting equipment, Rs 10,000 on power tillers, and Rs 25,000 on threshers.The GST reforms reduce household tax on Rs 1 lakh expenditure for Rs 25,000 to Rs 6,000.".
