Odisha Cabinet approves 4 proposals

Bhubaneswar (29/09/2025): ​The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday approved 4 proposals from 3 different departments. ​ The Cabinet approved amendments to the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1956 and the Factories Act, 1948. ​The daily working hours of labourers have been increased from 9 hours to 10 hours. ​Employees will be eligible for Overtime pay if they work more than 48 hours in a week. ​Female employees may work during the night shift after submitting a letter of consent. ​The state government will ensure safety arrangements for female employees working at night. The Godabarish Adarsha Primary School Scheme was sanctioned. ​ An amount of Rs 226 crore has been sanctioned for the peripheral development of the Ghatgaon Tarini Shrine in Keonjhardistrict. ​ A DPR (Detailed Project Report) will be prepared for the peripheral development covering 59 acres of land.
