Action Aid Association & CCWD observed International Day of the Girl Child

Bhubaneswar (11/10/2025): For better promotion of girl child and to create safe environment the role of parents and stake holders is most essential said the dignitaries on the eve of International Day of the Girl Child observed at the dotted venue of Nilachakra Nagar under ward no-26 of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation organised by ActionAid Association in Collaboration with Centre for Child and Women Development (CCWD).

The objective of the programme was to sensitise the slum dwellers on Promotion and protection as well as leadership development, said Bhaskar Chandra Pradhan.

Attending as guest Secretary of CCWD Sadasiv Swain shared the protection mechanism and role of parents.

Among others Sucharita Behera shared the contribution of a girl child towards Society development.

Lastly Saraswati Parida proposed a warm vote of thanks to all.

The programme was coordinated by Bishnupriya Samal.

To mark this day a human chain was organised.

The members of Bhubaneswar Young Urban Women Forum and Anasangathita Sramik Manch actively participated.
