Fire breaks out in coal-laden train at Chhatrapur Station

Khallikote (12/10/2025): Panic gripped Chhatrapur railway station in Ganjam district after a fire broke out in a coal-laden train on Sunday.

The incident occurred while the train was halted on platform number 3. Two wagons of the train caught fire, though the exact cause is yet to be ascertained.

Fire personnel from Chhatrapur rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading further. No casualties or major damages have been reported.
