Two-year-old girl kidnapped from Berhampur rescued from West Bengal

Berhampur(26/10/2025): A two-year-old girl kidnapped from Berhampur in Ganjam district has been rescued from East Medinipur district in West Bengal by the Baidyanathpur police.

The child’s aunt and her husband, who were involved in the abduction, have been arrested. According to reports, on the 21st, the child’s family had come from Bhanjanagar to MKCG Medical College in Berhampur.

During that time, a domestic dispute broke out between a couple.

Following the quarrel, the man abducted his wife’s sister’s two-year-old daughter and demanded Rs 1.5 lakh as ransom. After conducting raids in Bhubaneswar, Puri, and finally in West Bengal, the police managed to trace and rescue the child.
