CM Majhi makes surprise visit to Hydro-logical Data Center

Bhubaneswar(31/10/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made a surprise visit to Rajiv Bhavan on Friday to review the punctuality and performance of government officials. The inspection was part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative discipline, accountability, and efficiency across state departments. During the visit, the CM toured several offices, including the State Hydro-logical Data Center, where he reviewed key data on dams, river embankments, and water levels across the state. Majhi checked attendance registers, interacted with employees, and assessed the overall workflow.

He emphasised the importance of proactive water resource management and urged officials to adopt smart governance practices for effective service delivery. While appreciating the efforts of departmental officers, the Chief Minister directed them to work in “mission mode” to achieve the state’s goal of irrigating 15 lakh hectares of farmland.

He also called for greater focus on water conservation and sustainable utilisation of resources.
