Zero Casualty goal: CM Majhi after cyclone review
Bhubaneswar(28/10/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday reviewed the state’s preparedness for the approaching cyclone.The Chief Minister informed that the government has made all necessary arrangements to tackle the situation effectively. The CM said, "The administration is working with the objective of achieving a ‘zero casualty’ target.Rain has already started in southern Odisha, and eight districts are expected to be affected today and tomorrow.So far, 11,396 people have been evacuated to safer locations, while the target is to evacuate 30,594 persons.More people will be shifted if the situation demands. A total of 1,871 pregnant women have been provided with medical assistance, and plans are in place to relocate another 822 pregnant women to safety." In view of the cyclone, tourists have been advised to avoid visiting southern Odisha’s tourist destinations until the situation improves, CM Majhi added.
