Landslides & flooding disrupt connectivity in Gajapati

Mohana(29/10/2025): Heavy rains triggered landslides and flooding across several parts of Gajapati district.

Due to the swelling of the Mahendratanaya river, rainwater flowed over the Saradhapur bridge, cutting off road connectivity between Junglepadu and Saradhapur. In Rayagada block, a landslide occurred near Bonda village under S.Karadasingh panchayat.

Vehucular movement between Bonda, Khiliganda, Kudinghi, and Upper Sankurda villages to S.Karadasingh has come to a halt as debris blocked the roads.
