Durga Puja pandals witness huge surge of devotees on Maha Nabami

Bhubaneswar (12/10/2024): Maha Nabami, the ninth day of Navratri festival, began with religious fervour across Odisha on Saturday. On this day, Goddess Durga is worshipped as Mahisasuramardini, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil. Rituals including Dwarapala Puja, Surjya Puja, Mahasnana, Sodasha Upachar Puja and Homa will be performed at different puja mandaps in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Different puja committees in Cuttack will offer fish as ‘bhog’ to Goddess Durga on the occasion of Maha Nabami.
In Bhubaneswar, the Sahid Nagar Durga Puja Samiti, Nayapalli Durga Puja Committee, Rasulgarh, Old Station Bazaar Puja Committee and Jharpara Durga Puja Committees witnessed a huge surge of devotees since early morning .
