Fast food stalls near puja mandaps in Bhubaneswar raided

Bhubaneswar (12/10/2024): The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday simultaneous raids on several fast food stalls set up near puja mandaps in the city on the occasion of Durga Puja.The drive was launched to check on the quality of food served to people visiting puja pandals. The Food Safety Commissioner along with a team conducted raids on various street food stalls near major puja pandals at Rasulgarh, Nayapalli, Baramunda, and other locations.Kiosks selling chaat, gupchup, momos, and other fried items were raided. There were also several complaints of street vendors selling stale food to the visitors.During the raid, the BMC seized several quantities of stale food and destroyed the same .
