Dussehra light gate structure collapses in Cuttack

Cuttack (18/10/2024): A car and three bikes got trapped after a gigantic electronic welcome gate installed by Khannagar Puja Committee for Durga Puja collapsed near Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal on Friday. Fortunately, nobody was inside the car when the structure collapsed.However, the entire road was blocked for several hours. According to the members of the Puja Committee, the gate was installed some 15 days back and there was no impact even in case of heavy rain.They suspect that the incident happened after some heavy vehicle collided with it. Secretary of the Puja Committee Prafulla Sahu said, “A vehicle was reversing and the structure collapsed after it collided with it.Efforts are on to clear the road.The process has started to remove the structure.”.
