14-year-old girl beaten to death by stepmother over 'Dahi Bara'

Nayagarh (24/10/2024): A14-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death by her stepmother over eating 'Dahi Bara' at Podasahi under Baunsabaati panchayat within Fategarh police limits in Nayagarh district of Odisha. The exact reason behind the crime has not been established.Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman beat her minor step-daughter to death in a fit of rage over consuming the snack.After committing the crime, she was taking the body to bury at an isolated place in an attempt to wipe out evidence but was caught red-handed by police.The accused woman was detained .
