Jio prioritizes cyclone readiness with measures to ensure connectivity and quick restoration in Odisha during cyclone Dana

Bhubaneswar (24/10/2024): Keeping in view the possible impact of cyclone Dana, Odisha’s largest digital service provider Reliance Jio has taken several measures to ensure that people stay connected during the cyclone, said sources from the service provider. Among the several measures taken in Odisha, Jio has set up a 24x7 war room for real time monitoring and quick restoration wherever needed.Besides, multiple restoration teams with critical spares and equipments, adequate back-up power solutions and battery charging arrangements have been placed at key strategic locations in various districts.To further ensure that customers stay connected, Jio has enabled Interconnect Roaming (ICR) in Odisha and West Bengal, they said, adding that this will enable customers to stay connected with the available network irrespective of any service provider at that point of time.Besides, it has taken all types of precautionary measures in view of the cyclone to ensure smooth network connectivity.
