Odisha government to shift 3,72,000 people to safer areas: CM

Bhubaneswar (24/10/2024): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday reviewed the cyclone situation in the state.
Speaking about the evacuation plans, the Chief Minister said, "We have target to shift 3,72,000 people to safer areas, with 300,000 already evacuated successfully. The relocation process is expected to be completed within the next few hours." Regarding animal protection, the CM highlighted that 58 teams have been formed to protect livestock, and veterinary teams are on standby for animal treatment. These measures aim to minimize the impact of the cyclone on human and animal life.
