Elephant tusks seized in Rayagada

Rayagada (10/05/2024): At least two elephant tusks were seized by the forest department officials at Kalyansinghpur forest range in Rayagada district on Friday.Two people were detained in connection with the seizure. The detainees identified as Surendra Nahak and Shankar Kandagari were cooking at Lord Shiva temple at Narayanpur panchayat in the district when the forest officials caught hold of them.The forest personnel seized two elephant tusks and detained both of them.
