Cyclone update: October 24 & 25 crucial for Odisha

Bhubaneswar (21/10/2024): October 24 and 25 are crucial for Odisha.This was informed by India Meteorological Department (IMD)Director General (DG) Mrutyunjaya Mohapatra on Monday. Mohapatra said, "The exact location of the landfall of cyclone 'Dana' will be known tomorrow once the system is developed into a depression." As per the current track, it is very likely to cross north Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar island during night of 24th and early morning 25th October as a severe cyclonic storm with a wind speed of 100-110 kmph gusting 120 kmph.
